As requested by ovenpaa, some pictures of my new to me M96, dated 1920. Saw it, fell in love with it and it was a pretty good price too.

Nice. Good to see it has an aperture sight too.

Pity about the sling though!

I have looked into original M96 slings and will be ordering a proper replacement soon, don't worry :)

Received my sling today and fitted within minutes of being unpackaged. Beautiful addition to the rifle.
