Been to the club today and I went on the 25yrd indoor with my AR, and to say my trigger is stiff is an understatement, but all in all it really is accurate, so do the lighter triggers really make any difference and what have you got on yours?

Hiperfire on the CMMG, 2lb single stage.
JP trigger springs in the 15-22. Good enough for practical.
ALG ACT with JP springs in the .223, 5lb milspec for $75.

I fitted a timney trigger in my ST-22, made a big difference, fiddle to fit, but well worth it.

recently put a CMC trigger (from John MH on here) in my 15-22 and it has made a hell of a difference. Not just that it's lighter but it breaks cleanly and resets quicker than you can pull the trigger.

What about spring kits, are any of them any good ?

A good release will make the rifle feel better and improve consistency (and possibly accuracy as well).
You can do a lot with the standard trigger if you don't mind stoning the sear and adjusting the springs. Try it, you have nothing to lose especially if you are going to buy a group anyway. Just make sure the whole group functions OK after you've worked on it and before you load live rounds.

If it all goes belly-up you can buy a new standard set for relatively little.
Spring kits are all well and good but you get the same result from bending the standard ones.
Some of the lighter spring kits can fail to fire 22LR rounds on occasion.

I'm partial to the Rock River Arms two stage match trigger. I like the two stage pull plus it is much lighter and more crisp than the issue single stage trigger on the AR. The single stage trigger is designed to work in rifles set up for 3 round burst and full automatic and has to be more stout than what is needed for a semi auto or straight pull rifle.
