Met Police renewals

Received the reminders for my FAC and SGC just over 3 months before they expired. The request was to have the renewals submitted 8 weeks before - which would have been 4th May. Form completed and signed. Obtained phone confirmation on 1st May that they had been received.

Last Saturday (17th) - I received a call from the FEO to see if I was available on Monday 19th, unfortunately not but we arranged the visit for Tuesday 20th. Apart from the FEO getting lost and not being able to locate my house we had a fairly short meeting, no issues, no problems, a short discussion on my collection of Single Malts and that was it.

Today, 4 days later, I received my new FAC and SGC in the post.

Their system does seem to be working well. One minor point - the envelope was a cheap almost see through with a large window. They had placed extra sticky labels over parts of the envelope and window to reduce visibility - perhaps they need to invest in the type of envelopes that banks use with small windows and random printing on the inside.
