GoPro on a 'scope

My son has a couple of GoPro video cameras which seem quite robust so I was thinking about nailing one to a 'scope with a remote monitor for no real reason other than I can.
Has anyone tried this?

Do you mean the camera will be looking through the scope, or just attached to it to capture the shooting?
If its looking through the scope there are actually a few dedicated mounts for doing this with smart phones which could be cheaper (assuming you already have a smart phone)

Not sure if GoPro do a specific one, but their cameras are definitely up to soaking up firearm recoil

Theres a video on youtube somewhere where they had one mounted to an AX on the rails, it worked very well. Not sure if you can mount one behind the scope, but don't see why not

The idea was to attach it to the 'scope and then maybe use a tablet or laptop as a monitor so I can film the shot from the shooters perspective. I am not sure what to expect however it might be useful and certainly interesting.

There's a guy shooting air rifles with a similar setup on youtube, looks pretty good. You may need a proper camera though, I not sure how well the GoPro can alter focus.

Isn't there a Picatinny mount got GoPro, there seems to be for just about every other possibility.

There's a chap on Youtube with a camera on the back of an Enfield. Wasn't that successful based on that vid.

We have had them on the 50s using the handlebar mount kit, remote viewed from the tablets. Worked brilliant.
Ive ordered the phoneskope kit to mount it to my optics now (rifle scopes and spotting scope)

i have done this with the hero 2 but there is a big issue of the wifi system has a 4 second delay in video transmission , so a hdmi lead to a monitor or pc usb converter is the best way forward there , they do do the lcd backpacks but i do no know if they have a delay or not and it would probally be difficult to see any crosshair
