Excellent

Not exactly how I would describe the video. Distressing comes to my mind after viewing it.

I am country born & raised and this made me feel sick.
I can cull wild deer all day long if it is required but seeing cattle slaughtered due to a disease spread by badgers is galling.
There was never so many badgers until a quango government & a bunch of spotty faced advisers put badgers on the protected species list.
And on the countrybile blog you read about the myriad f*cking numptys who are wailing about poor brock being culled and that they should be cuddled & vaccinated, yea right at £675 per brock!
Sorry, rant over

Wasn't the cost of badger killing reported to be something like 1500 quid per badger when they costed it all out . wtfwtf
In the interests of saving the country money I'd do it for say 1450 per badger.

If it cost £675 to vaccinate and £1500 to cull its obviously cheaper to vaccinate them , the figures speak for them selves , don't they ?

Those figures are only compelling if you are talking about culling at least 50% of the badger population. Not sure how many they were 'aiming for' (if you'll excuse the pun).
For vaccination to be effective I'd have thought you'd have to find pretty much every badger out there, which would prove far more expensive than culling a proportion.
Of course cost should be (but frequently is) the only factor.
