The price of silence ?

#1 Post by meles meles »

If you could have a modern moderator, made of high tech stuff (think titanium, carbon fibre, Kevlar, that sort of thing), at least as good as anything on the market, weighing 500 g or less, and possibly capable of withstanding 30 rounds of rapid fire, how much would you be prepared to pay for it?

More than happy with my Predator 8s and DM804s, the 2 DM804s (.308 & .22rf) cost me £225 for the pair :good:

£20 to you badger, I know you're flush. If it were reflex style I reckon £200 would be a nice start but I'm a tight Yorkshire man

From early indications, 'twould seem either this forum is populated by paupers or eejits with nary a thought to the value of their hearing nor good engineering. Maybe we're attempting to cast pearls afore swine...

Hmmm, 'twould seem we'll be making only a small batch of these for the clan and not for general sale to oomans...

We're still working out the manufacturing cost, then we'll add on Nathan's share to arrive at the selling price.

It seems that high end moderators start at £450 and head up to silly money from there. We intend to outperform them and undercut them on price if we can.

What calibre range are you looking to cover - I'm in the market for a reflex moderator for .300 WSM at present and will pay for the right combination of performance and design.
