Can anyone recommend a good product to prevent rust, preferably non oily? I remember years ago I heard about a spray that people use on motorbikes which was supposed to be very good, but I don’t remember what it was called.
I bought old muzzle loading pistol, which although cheap, came with free rust. Any suggestions?

As in "Parker Hale Sportsmans Silicone Oil Gun Cleaning Cloth"?
Also, I see there is "silicone spray". Would that be of any use?

If you wish to spray silicon, it could be very useful.*
* Unlike badgers, which are rarely useful.

The stuff I used to use on my bikes (and used a lot of in Germany) was 'ACF50'
spray on, clean off after winter.
However for guns, may i recommend Froglube?

Ah, that's the one, ACF50. I read about people using it on their air rifles. You recon Froglube is better?

Good stuff ACF50, keeps the corrosion at bay, although I don't generally clean it off, just apply some more every now and then.

Gt85 is good, used that on my bikes for years. I'm trialling another Teflon spray on my Mosins bolts, yet to know if it's any good.
