Hi troops,
I purchased a nikko stirling mountmaster that was supposed to be new , it has the illuminated reticle that is powered by a watch style cr2032 battery which I have changed, but I can't see any red or green illumination?

Does anyone have any experience of these scopes and am I missing something like a hidden power button.?

Otherwise it must be fecked and I'll have to start claiming a refund.

Are you turning it on? No power button, rotate the dial

I changed the batteries several times, + side facing up as instructed, no power on button only R 1 2 3 4 5 & - G 1 2 3 4 5 for the Red and green settings, don't see any OFF or ON anywhere?

Looks like a pig in a poke

R (red) and G (green) are the off positions, 12345 are the brightness of the crosshairs ;)

Thanks for that, still no joy on any of the settings though.

Back to the seller.
Cheers

Make sure that contacts are nice and clean and you are getting a good connection. Also is the illuminating bulb or Led actually working and not NFG???.

I'll post a picture soon, but I can't see any way of accessing a bulb, never had one of these before, I've tried the batteries all ways, turned the knob to all settings in a darkened room, but not a peep of light.

Can the reticle light be simply broken or US out of the box?
