Although ignorance is rarely an excuse, the massively bias wording of the EDM would read quite reasonable to someone who had no idea about firearms licensing and its goal of public safety

Surely making sure firearms owners are legit is for the greater good? It's certainly not for our benefit only!

35 signatures out of a possible 640 odd is encouraging.
Interesting that the signaturies are all Labour, lib and green though. We'll see how much of a minority is shooters are come the elections next year!

Are MP's measured by the number of Early Day Motions they submit, or maybe paid on a commission basis? I ask because I just perused the various motions tabled over lunch(*) and I was rendered speechless by the utter dross some of the MP's submit. Surely they cannot believe such things are going to be taken seriously???

Clive Betts ?

Good old Clive. A lovely fellow but I thought he had been suspended from Parliament, of course not for paying his Brazilian rentboy out of the public money, but for breach of security by knowingly using forged documents in order to get this illegal immigrant a "job" ?

Valerie Vaz. Any relation to that odious little committee loving chairman Keith Vaz?
Makes me want to puke everytime I see his face on tv. Sure that he was involved in some scam regarding expenses (ALLEGEDLY)
