Lee Collet Neck Die.

#1 Post by fred2892 »

Has anyone tried using 7.62x54r brass in the .303B Lee collet neck die?
Will it fit or is some machining required?

I use a Lee 308 neck die on 7.62x54 brass, put the case through a 3mm washer first to engage the collet.

Thanks Dan, can you tell me the internal neck dimension of the 7.62x 54 brass after using the 308 die?

I usually cut the washer to the same opening as the shell holder then JB weld it in place. Then it is just a shell holder and as easy to use.
