Expanding ammo on certificate

Ok ... Got two different answers so far on this ..
When purchasing expanding ammo does the RFD have to write it on my FAC any differently to normal ammo ?
When I bought some hollow point the other day my certificate was checked to see I was allowed it and then it was written on the certificate as if was any other type of ammo, it wasn't specifically written on as "expanding"
I have since been told this was incorrect ....

It should certainly be specified if, like me, you have certain calibres (.308 in my case) for both hunting and target, or multiple rifles, and thus have two separate allowances for FMJ and expanding ammunition - if not specified it would not be clear if you had exceeded a particular ammunition limit.
It is good business practice for the RFD to do this so if his records ever get checked by the FLA he can prove he is not selling expanding ammunition to a certificate holder without authority to hold expanding, and it would be logical that what he writes on a certificate follows his register entries and vice versa.

My force didn't give me separate allowances for expanding vs fmj for my .308, so in theory I can hold all or none or any combination in between of expanding vs fmj.
Again another example of different force areas with different interpretation of the rules.

Just answered my own question ... I just called my local force firearms section ... They don't need it specially mentioned .... Your force however May be different !!

Odd one.
If I look at the top of mine it says projectiles held including expanding (which I have no use for).
However, on my collectors slot I can hold 550 of the things in near enough any calibre up to 19.2mm (projectiles or live rounds) without their being on my ticket.
It is just a blanket license to cover a collection that may change.....
