Can anyone suggest who I might try to use to send a rifle via in the Basingstoke area?
I asked at Fultons yesterday and they wanted £50. I thought I could get it for nearer £25 so am still looking.
Thanks,
Paul.

Wow that seems steep my local shop only charges £20. What could cost them so much more as to charge £50.
Sorry I know I am not being helpful just shocked at the price they quoted you.

I was shocked too. People have varying opinions of Fultons but I will not pass comment.

The NRA quoted me £15 last time I asked.

Who did you speak to to arrange that, please, Gaz?

The NRA armourer, in the range office. This was last year so the fee might have gone up since - YMMV.

+1 Fred in the Range office took delivery for me last year for a very reasonable fee. I'm sure he will sort it for you for much less than 50 quid.

I rang earlier and although Fred wasn't there I had a chat with his boss. Their fee is only £15 but, as the sender, you have to add in the TNT bit as well. Although he didn't know how much they'd charge another establishment said the TNT bit was £35. That brings it back to what Fultons were asking.
I suppose it's the difference between paying to receive and paying to send.
