Just had notification that Barton Road is to be closed from 16th May to 20th June (at least) so they can introduce SARTS.
Bugger, I was looking forward to a bit of recoil therapy away from nappy duties.

Lets hope not but I fear the shoot on the 21st June stands a good chance of getting ditched. I wonder if the Thetford Gallery SARTS installation is on schedule-I will try and find out.

Not sure where Thetford is at the moment, the last replacement shoot at BR was cancelled due to no interest or so I was told so I assumed Thetford was up and running.

dam 2 shoots fall in that date range not to mention i missed sundays bash due to a birthday

Our next Thetford Gallery is scheduled for March 8th so hopefully it is all up and running again by then. It is now called Thetford CGR? whatever that means. God knows how to get into the range as the last time I went past the entrance it was part of the building site for the A11 duelling!
I think the last Barton Road was supposed to be a 'short range shoot' (300-800 yards ?) and apparently there was a lack of interest so it got pulled (the weather was rather iffy thou). Shame really.

This might be the dumbest question but what is "SARTS" ?

They are electronic targets of some form...some form of new military standard.
