I was shooting today on Short Siberia. As this is a 700 mile round trip I was unsure whether to risk the weather. As it turned out it was a glorious day.
As a bonus, I shot some of my S&B .222 ammo I bought at Scotarms auction for not a lot of money. Through my Tikka 595 and using a Nikko Sterling target scope, I was shooting v bull after v bull, what a result for ammo I would not have rated and was purchased because it was cheap (I'm like that). I had two consecutive shots where I shot the wire out of the red marker - a first for me.
All in an unexpected excellent day at Bisley.
It had to be better than going to the Shooting Show!
Anybody else had a good day on the range this weekend?

How do you manage to do that in a day. What time do you set off.

I was on Century on Sunday morning coaching my old university rifle club. Beautiful weather, record turnout, many happy faces by lunchtime.

Down on Saturday and back Sunday - stayed with my friend and his family. The Lamb Balti for dinner was a big bonus.
