This scope http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-26158016 would be no good for Dromia - not enough brass and leather on it...

So, if I understand this correctly, a <fallable> computer will say when you can and cannot shoot.

I can see the soldiers are going to love that!

Sarge, what does "Application is not responding" mean?

A good idea perhaps, except for laying down covering fire...."weapon fails to fire".

As Stuck mentions, it does not solve everything, mearly an enhancement it certain situations....not many mind.

It will also have to be "squaddie proofed" tongueout

Scopes that can't miss, cars that park by themselves and school exams that have all the answers written down so no-one can fail.

And then when we can't function without help we wonder why..

As an ex squaddie I'd like to think I can add perspective here, imagine that target shooting back at you - and for a few grand you can increase his 1st shot hit count and bring him home after a tour.

Of course there's no substitute for extensive training and ability, but for a few grand you can up a mediocre shooters ability quickly.

There's a load more to it I know, reliability, quality of the product etc etc - but it strikes me as a worthwhile investment to see if we can make any use of it.
