New FAC Variation forms

Club FAC variation for + 2 on existing 10 rifles, then a new FAC for daughter for 3 rifles, then a variation on my FAC to add hers to it.
The new form asks 'Have there been any changes in the personal circumstances declared on your last application to grant or renew the certificate. Y/N if Y you must report changes e.g. mental health, medial condition or convictions...'
I didn't declare it 3 years ago as was not clairvoyant but I am now reluctantly & because of the actions of my x-partner a single parent of 2.5 kids . That protracted event has not been declared.
Relevant? should this be disclosed? Advice........

That is a very valid question, frankly I do not know. If it was me in that situation, I would not even have thought about mentioning it, being a lone parent does not affect your ability to shoot nor have a FAC, does it?

I understand that it is domestic violence (and/or the risk of it) that is the concern when considering applications etc... I don't believe it is reasonable to assume that every relationship breakdown is due to or results in DV therefore a change is relationship status should have no effect on your suitability to own firearms.
However the way in which the question is written, it could be considered a breach of integrity should it be later discovered you had not mentioned the failed relationship in the unlikely event the police became involved in a dispute between you and your ex-partner.
If you're a member of the BASC you should give their firearms team a call, they are without doubt the best resource available for such matters.

Or you could ask Iain :-) Or I could ask him and let you know?
Unless you have seen a doctor for depression concerning the break up then I don't think its relevant - some of us have got through a lot of blokes without informing Firearms Licensing

I concur - good question.
I have just had my renewal - all went very smoothly thanks TVP.
TVP are very keen on being demonstrated the usage of the fireamrs held and since 2012 or so when they posted a circu;ar to all Clubs I have been meticulous about it.
When asked about my Fullbore shooting for the period 2009-2011 I told the FEO that it had been limited due to the fact that my domestic situation was going through an upheaval - moving, divorce etc. He hardly batted an eyelid when he saw my records since 2012 and remarked that at least my shooting had benefited my change in circumstances !!!!
I dont personally believe it is an issue so long as there has been nothing prescribed etc. Why should it ? Peoples relationships can come and go when they arent married or with a common law partner.
