Is anyone here forming 300 Blackout brass from cut down .223 or do you just go for factory brass?

I've gone a slightly different route, I bought a few hundred from Brad's Warehouse, these are once fired Lake City .223 formed into 300aac and are very nice indeed,

Also got a couple of hundred from DogyRog which are R P head stamped (Remington I believe) but the primer pockets aren't as tight as the Lake City.

As 99% of my 300aac are shot at 25m (3.1g N310 and 115g Soupcan Boolit) the brass gets very little working so should last quite a while, I've only had 3 or 4 which needed trimming to length.

Bards Warehouse are very cheap, downside is they do not ship outside of the USA.

I picked mine up when we were over there in 2012.

Personally I wouldn't pay for factory brass, cut down and formed 222 or 223 works perfectly for the majority of 300aac reloaders, factory brass simply wasn't available in any quantities until recently.

If you want some samples of the Lake City and R P cases I can stick them in the post tomorrow?
