How do I store my guns in the roof space and keep them in good nick.
How do you stop damp, mould and rust?
A heater? A light bulb in the cabinet?
I have three seperate caninets.

New or old house? Modern houses have well insulated roof voids which means less heat escapes upwards, but old ones may not have a felted roof. I would say oil them well and throw a couple of those pads that give off an oily vapour or the damp 'sponge' things you can pick up for a pound each and replace periodically.

Last year I found my roof space was raining with condensation on the inside, so after reading up I moved all the insulation away from the soffits to create air flow in the loft.
We stopped hanging wet clothes on clothes horses and opened a bathroom window when having baths.
One tip I saw which I have always liked, was instead of buying a dehumidifier, buy a rope light instead.

Apparently they are cheap to run and are just warm enough to stop condensation. I think they look cool in the safes as well!

Thumbs up on the light blub, use an old fashioned blub leave it on it will keep a small enclosed space dry.
