Is your MP Pro or Anti?

Following Nigel Farage's comments last week I thought I'd find out what my local MP's position on the 1997 Handgun Ban and shooting in general was.

I 'tweeted' Mr. Andrew Turner MP (Con) Isle of Wight

"Following Nigel Farage's comments about the handgun ban being ludicrous would you consider revisiting the debate?"

He 'tweeted' back;

"I've always opposed the ban. Guns don't kill, people do. We don't ban cars - and they're dangerous weapons in the wrong hands!"

I'm taking this as a positive and would suggest my local MP is Pro, would be good to get some feed back from other forum members across the country so we can build up a picture of the Pro and Anti constituencies.

IOW - Conservatives - Pro

I suspect Peter Lilley would be of a similar opinion. I've just tweeted him to ask the same question.

Anti, to the point of refusing to see shooters during her monthly public surgeries before and after the ban....

Quite happy to see drunks and drug addicts though....

Jame5m, if your MP refuses to make an appointment with you, you can make a complaint to the local party office. If every shooter in your constituency did this She'd likely be at risk of the local party not selecting her for next years election.
