Yes intentional, due to the fact that some frequenters of the pit, I mean GoM don't visit far on the forum and some members don't visit the pit, I mean GoM.

When you were on your way to a range how did you carry the gun?

Was it ever legal to have a hand gun concealed under your jacket for example?

No idea whether it was legal to carry it under a jacket although I wouldn't have thought it was a particularly good idea. Everyone I knew always used a pistol case!

Unless you live beside the range you would be carrying your handgun in a car to the range. Then to the range in a bag. That is the way I take mine. If you were stopped carrying a handgun under your jacket you would need a good reason.

But if the range was close and you walked to it , I don't know of any law that says you couldn't carry it under a coat in a pistol slip, just like carrying a shotgun in a slip. If it would be a good idea is another matter.

Voted too - interesting stats at the minute, whilst positive votes are outnumbered by negative - it's not as anti gun as I was expecting. But then, I suspect that's more to do with us lot giving each other a nudge to vote and the nay sayers not being so organised.

It's interesting how these anti types never consider this from a liberal point of view, as in why are our interests worth less than anyone elses?

Is it really so hard for these people to understand that it's not the firearm that kills people (a la spoons don't make people fat) - and that what "we" should be doing is certifying the person and not the firearm?

That said, I appreciate it's not politically expedient so unlikely a politician will ever back it nor will Europe ever harmonise gun laws such that we can return handguns to section 1 status.

I suppose I consider myself lucky that post 97 I was still able to shoot a HiPower Mk3 (and at the taxpayers expense to boot!) or else I may never had tried Pistol shooting as a sport.
