Fifty years to the day when the classic film Zulu was released and 135 years since action around the mission station at Rorkes Drift Natal.

To me this is the best film ever made and is a real treasure trove for firearms spotters, even although a lot of the weapons used were not is use or made at the time of the action.

Stirring stuff.

I'll be watching it again tonight.

Phwoarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Unsuccessfully tried to complete the Zulu drinking game!

Fantastic drinking game aside it is definitely one of the greatest war films, nay greatest films ever made!

"Zulu": With Some Guts Behind It, The Making of the Epic Movie by Sheldon Hall is a cracking read for Zulu film buffs.

Out of print now and going for silly money but a second edition is due out this year.
