With the greatest respect, is this really a single grouping? Starting from the viewpoint that I wrote the concept of competitive disciplines that appears in the NRA Handbook (as it happens, 8 each of Controlled, Recognised and Acknowledged disciplines) this seems to me to be a bit wide for a "Standard" class. Or have I missed the point????

If S-class is a real competitive discipline, the NRA would like to give it a place. "Acknowleged" is NRA speak for something we don't control, have no intention to control, but realise exists, and if some authority phones us up saying "Mr Bloggs claims he shoots S-class, will you support his FAC?", we could say "yes, S-class is Acknowledged in our Handbook, we don't run it but we know it's there and legitimate shooters are taking part in real competitions."

So, as part of my job, I'm wondering if this is something I can give a place to.

I see. Last year Strathpeffer Rifle and Pistol Club shot the first formal S-Class competition alongside it's F-Class competition, this years competition is scheduled for June IIRC.

There is two sub classes within the S-Class format, Predator and Hunter. Hunter should be regarded as the main class as it was the original format. Predator was added for people without access to 600m ranges.

I haven't a bloody clue what you lot are on about! I thought the whole idea was to keep it simple, e.g. set number of rounds at one target, over set distances.

Now there's all sorts of classes, no one can seem to agree distances or rounds.

Too much bloody hassle. I'm out.
