ChargeMaster tube adapter

#1 Post by Ovenpaa »

In the spirit of one of my new years resolutions the Viking is throwing powder for her 22-6,5x47. The resolution being for us to both shoot more and I have just prepped 150 cases for her. The bit I never do is throw powder and I noticed some muttering coming from the loading area, the CM was throwing the occasional over weight measure. Now this is something many CM users will have come across and there are numerous tips and tricks on the webynet, I have even made these adapters for other people in the past however never one for us.

Here it is fitted with the adapter in cross section underneath.

The result is a perfectly thrown charge every time with no more stray powder kernels falling out after the tube has stopped turning.

So one happy Viking tongueout

I will have a look at making a few more, this certainly has sorted the problem with SC4831 with every single load throwing perfectly.

I have been throwing powder for about an hour now, inbetween watching Blue Murder at St Trinian's and eating pizza. Walked around the loading area, opened and closed the door, long waiting inbetween dispensing. Perfect every time, only one time did it wobble, I leant on the table where the CM is standing, didn't like that and it was 42.2 instead of 42.1 which is the correct load.

Ah bliss, no more shouting at the CM tongueout

I could be interested in four adapters to go on my clubs chargemasters. TR140 has the habit of overcharging every now and then. Damn annoying when you are doing 1000-2000 rounds a day.

I find that the CM really struggles with Varget, not so much with H4831SC.

Will be interesting to see if the new tube makes a difference to the Varget as well.

I would love one for use with H4831sc especially!

Might also help with big kernel N560 & 570?

Ready to buy yesterday!

I had actually deleted the drawing albeit by accident so I have just drawn it out properly and will head out to the SHED and do a run of a couple of dozen or so.

Admin, I think this should be moved to the V&I section please.
