I have been looking into topping up my insurance cover and would appreciate any views please.
The NRA policy is limited to a max claim of £5k which would not go very far if a number of items were stolen/claimed for.
The quote I have from Bannermann Rendell to top up my NRA insurance is quite high - has anyone looked into using another broker?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I added my firearms on to the household insurance which will cover them whilst at the range too. Very reasonable for me, but I guess it will depend on your particular insurer. Certainly worth exploring though.

Direct line are very good for firearm cover on your house insurance. Esure told me that they'd cancel the policy the moment I put a cabinet in!

NFU you have been very good as I added it to my contents insurance, anything about £900 you have to specify the value and the product on the insurance.

I would give Besso's a ring and see what they could do for you, they "get" firearms. I've been using them for a couple of years now for business and domestic insurance.

I have my most valuable rifle as a named item on the all-risks section of my household policy, to get the value of the rest of the kit within the NRA limit.
