I started re loading for my 6.5x55 tonight using a Sinclair Arbor press and a LeWilson neck die every thing came to a abrupt halt when the press ground to a halt. When I checked the teeth on the ratchet have sheared off. I have had this tool less than a year I am not pleased. Anybody know were I can get a spare ratchet handle for it.

You are just an animal Dave, you don't know your own primeval strength.

Those arbors are fine but robust they are not, anything requiring the remotest force and it shouldn't be put through them.

On the other hand knowing your luck you probably have got a duffer, I'd get onto Sinclair and get their take on it

Why would I want to do that the Lyman crusher I have had for the last 20 years will do every thing the Le classic cast will do and its a much better quality tool.

The LeWilson neck dies only work with a Arbor press any way.
I will take the broken bit in to work to morrow the guys can probably make a new bit out of a decent piece of stainless.
In the mean time I will drop a line to Sinclair. I can not see how neck sizing a 6.5x55 case should strip the teeth off the press handle. **** ****

I use it for neck sizing with LeWilson neck dies ?. I also use it for seating bullets with LeWilson dies ?. I will have a better idea after my Engineering colleagues give it the once over to morrow.

Why not machine an adapter so you can use your Lyman Crusher with Wilson dies assuming the throat is big enough. I have made adapters in the past for the Lee Cast Classic to enable it to be used with Wilson dies and they do the job perfectly.

That sounds interesting but I am not sure how you would do that can you elaborate. Please.
Do you have a picture of the adaptor or a rough sketch would do. I never thought of that the more I think about it sounds like a excellent idea.

I will contact Sinclair just to see what there reaction is I have looked at the part and it should not of stripped the toothed wheel neck sizing a brass case. Once the thing bottomed out the handle should of just come to a stop. Anyway the guys at work will be able to tell me what its made of and may be make a new one and recut the gears to match the press but we will see.
