vortex pst 2.5-10x32 Max Elevation Adjustment!!!!!

got one of these for my lmt zeroed at 100 yards and had ago at 600 yards very pleased with it however in the manual it states the max elevation is 86 moa but when i tested it (86 moa works out as 7 full rotations) i only managed to get max 48 moa ( 4 full rotations) have i got a faulty scope???

please help

Have you spoken to the supplier/manufacturer?

no, only found this out earlier on today, will ring them on Monday however its just bugging me ! everything else works! dont understand it !?

Could it be that the 86 MOA is from one extreme to another? i.e. from all the way down to all the way up.

yer i thought about that, however when i zeroed the scope at 100 yards i dont think i used that much elevation moa; that would mean i used over 30 moa to zero at 100 yards !!

Note your zero , wind it one way till it stops then wind it the other way counting this will tell you how much elevation you have , you may find you need an angled base to use it all.

cheers very good idea! i think that 86 moa they quote could be for both up and down !

Yes it is. 86 MOA is what is available. An incline rail is what is needed to go loooonnnnnggggg....!

Usually the rail on the AR style rifles have 0' cant, you need a base with at least 20' to get out there,
