Chamber Adapters

I know some of you have Police Forces which insist on designated cartridges rather than calibre, but Grampian only designates calibre, so I was thinking of getting one of these. Has anybody used a chamber adapter like the one's here?

http://www.mcace.com/adapters.htm

The reason I ask, is I'm thinking of getting one in 30 carbine for my Ishapore and making a magazine adapter for a 30 carbine magazine (properly detachable). I know Lothar Walther does them ( http://www.lothar-walther.de/210.php ) and I know an RFD that deals with them.

The plan is to be able to convert back and forth between 30 Carbine and 7.62 (308). I could simply download and I have the loads to do so, but when I saw these I thought it would be nice little project or pipe dream!

So has anybody used one, of any calibre?

Never used one and it did remind me that I have a .410 adapter for a 12 bore in the cabinet that I have also never used :D

I've used them to convert a .222rem to .22lr You will find that they will not feed from a magazine so it will be single shot only. They aren't that cheap either.

That's what I suspected, but you never know until you ask! :D

I watched a few vids of these last year. They're meant to be single shot (one vid I saw did manage to get a few to magazine feed but not reliably due to no pointy end sliding up the feed ramp) and some worked great, some worked really badly, none were very accurate though.

I only intend to shoot them singularly I'm trying to remember how much the adaptor costs, looking for a British price.. not easy I think I'd have better luck finding rocking horse s***.

I've never used one but have seen a 7.62x25 adapter for 7.62x54r chambers.
