Does eye protection affect aim?

Given that eyepro is adding a refractive layer between your eyes and the target, surely it must affect aim?
Say you one day need to shoot without eyepro - would your aim be off?

I stArted wearing shooting glasses some 6months ago now, after the initial getting used to wearing them shooting I have found it makes no difference to my aim at all

No, I'm not suggesting there would be problems aiming with them; I'm wanting to air a theory that there's a difference between protected and unprotected sight.

Other than fiddling with them and adjusting my position, my standard glasses are fine.

No difference, I shoot with clear, yellow and tinted depending on the conditions, only issue I have is one set tends to mist up occasionally.
The real question should be do I shoot better with or without eyes...

My dominant eye is my right eye about two year ago I suffered a detached retina in the right eye I had surgery to re attach the retina and at the same time had a cataract removed and the lens in my right eye was replaced with a implant so the sight in this eye is not brilliant. The only way I can shoot military rifles now is using a pair of shooting glasses made up for me by a very understanding optician.
I have only had the glasses about a month don't know how I survived before that. They are toughened glass so they are ok to use as safety specs and they were not hugely expensive.
