Full FAC?

So I've been busy and filled up the table where you have to enter any firearms purchased on your certificate.
Trouble is, I've still got 5 empty slots on my FAC. What's the process here - I'm assuming I just can't attach a separate sheet of paper and carry on?
I've looked at the FAQ's on the police site, but they give no guidance about what I'm supposed to do here. I'm assuming I'll need a new certificate?

Yes indeed, ring your FEO or firearms department and they'll print you a new one

Do they just send one out or do they organise some kind of exchange?

The last time they got some conditions on my cert wrong I sent a letter in explaining the errors requesting a new one and they told me they would not even consider processing it or printing a new one until the old one was back in their possession , however you might be in a more sensible county . best to ask your FLO I think ,

Nope, same gig here. I have to send my FAC back to them, together with a covering letter. Meaning it'll be day or weeks (or maybe months...) without my certificate. sign01
I'm gonna stock up on any of the calibres I'll be shooting over the next 6 months and take a copy, just in case.

Well, it's official - I'm now a gun owner without a certificate.
I stocked up on rimfire ammunition and some 38 / 357 for my gallery guns first, now I've sent my certificate off for a new shiny one (with an empty purchase table).
Considering the police will kick your door in for printer parts, I wonder if I'll get any issues before I get my cert back. It feels very strange - my FAC usually goes wherever I do (when transporting firearms). I know it's all computerised, but I prefer physical proof.

I printed off another copy and cut the table out and attached it to the cert application and that was fine
Cheers

Oh come on lads; how can they print new conditions on your ticket if you don't send it back
And they won't send you a new one whilst you still have your old one unless it's due to expire, in which case you don't have to send your old one back when you renew.
Just sent my FAC into Staff's (Stafford and West Midlands have just amalgamated) to have AOLQ added. Took about 10 days to come back with the condition on.

You are required BY LAW to produce FAC to a constable requiring it when found in possession of firearms.
Every time I arrange a variation etc I tell them that I intend to continue shooting in the meantime and I will be retaining my FAC for inspection.
I have heard all the tosh about it being computerised and don't worry, they can verify from the roadside etc etc etc but my reply was simple - until I see that reflected in legislation, I will continue to carry a FAC when carrying a firearm.
If you send it the form 101 with a covering letter to that effect AND an offer to return the old FAC in return for a temporary permit ( which they can do but its a lot of fuss ) you will find that they will back down.
If they STILL refuse, ask them how a constable will verify your FAC from the roadside when you are found at 0500 on a Sunday off out for a stalk or at midnight when lamping ?
And to all those who say, oooooooh don't upset the FEO or they will make things awkward for you later........................
I had my FAC revoked. Appealed, represented myself and won it back. And I stand up for my rights ever since. Now, the average time for a one for one variation is 5 days with my best one posted on Monday morning and back to me on Wednesday morning.

Don't you get issued a covering letter in lieu, permitting you to buy ammunition while your FAC is in?
Just goes to show there's no consistency in what different forces do. And they want more money?...
