6.5 x 55 Carl Gustav?
I've just put a 6.5 x 55 on for a variation on my FAC and am looking to get a Carl Gustav/Swedish rifle.
Seen that Fulton's have a fair few for sale but was wondering where else is a good place to look for them.
Is there anything specific I should be looking out for (i.e. bad things)?

Well done that man, they are lovely rifles.
Most I have seen have been "blondes"
Fenland Rural Sports might be worth a try and you do get 10% discount.
C&G...Chris Goodwin.

Yeah I saw one at Fenland, didn't really look at it properly though. Looked on C&G and it seems they do every other gun but the swedish 6.5 x 55!!

Don't trust his website, it is rarely up to date with what he has actually got.
Best thing is to give him a ring.

I bought my K31 from Schwaben Arms GmbH and a W&F diopter sight set and other accessories from Sportarms.

I've brought guns in from Germany. No import licence needed but they are sticklers for detail and paperwork. Good luck if you go that route.lapua338 wrote:If you fancy being adventurous then take a look at the following websites;

Well I speak a bit of german having lived there for a few years so worth a look.
Re: 6.5 x 55 Carl Gustav?
Yep, I can confirm that the Germans do like their paperwork but it should be relatively straightforward acquiring a firearm in another member state of the European Union.
In theory, as far as the transfer from Germany is concerned, all that is required for the transfer of a bolt action rifle is a transfer licence issued by the export authorities in Germany and your domestic authority to possess the firearm in the UK.

Toby,
You ask what to look for.
A good barrel - the bore should sparkle like a modern rifle barrel - if you want it to shoot. If you don't, then look for matching numbers.
If it's got both - be happy to pay the asking price!
Cheers
Vince

This is something I've always wanted to know, how do you know if the barrel is good?
Apart from sparkling like a new barrel is there anything else to look for specifically?
