Here is one everyone may not have seen many of, I have never seen one until now. Last week located a Type 38 Kokura series 2 Arisaka Carbine 6.5x51 Jap. Production ran on this series from 1933 to 1940 had an opportunity to put 20 rounds thru it, very nice handy little rifle, an immediate favorite.

Interesting to see it is un-scrubbed and looks all original and a very nice example as well. Is it yours now?

Rare to see the emblem intact.

I'm considering starting to collect these myself now.

Yes :shakeshout: Purchased from a gentlemen in his late 70's who obtained it from his late uncle 30 years ago, the uncle brought it back from the South Pacific. Earlier war bringback as the condition is incredible, metal looks like a commercial sporter add the crisp unblemished chrysanthemum. The asking price was very fair and was paid no making a counter offer on this rifle. I can't believe that I manged to add this one. The size is smaller than any military bolt action carbine I have fired, the balance and handling wonderful. The prewar Japanese quality exceptional, the bolt works very smoothly and matches to top it off.

Okay enough said about it. I enjoy your forum Ladies and Gent's and I admire every bodies dedication to preserving their heritage, why I don't post much, no adding insult to injury, though I figured, perhaps somebody would enjoy seeing a little carbine with a nice mum.
