Can we get a couple of suggestions together for another date, I really would like to get out on a forum shoot this year and Diggle has to be the idea place.

Well I never was going to be able to make it,,but mighyt I suggest the end of the summer season and somewhere more central to all??
Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it!

Barney, more central to all? It's a 5hr drive each way for me. If I can do Plymouth in 10 from here then Diggle sounds pretty central to me. Where else would we have the flexibility and facilities available mid week?.
It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!

English Sporting at its best ... without the retentives!!!

Ok forget it,,,I would have thought that the very fact that this one has fallen through would have supported my Suggestion...how long has it been in the planning??
Seems to me that only a certain few are welcome at such an event in any case!!

Could you make it up to Newport Barney???

Bristol or Cardiff airports...nearby...come on...Flybe, BMI Baby, Ryan Air etc etc...tickets cheap as chips and I'll pick you up if it's Cardiff!!!

This one has fallen through because the few who wanted to go are all very busy right now, it is a matter of life getting in the way.
There was about 4-5 left who could go on the date agreed but it is not enough for a forum shoot.

Because of the huge distances that are between us all I am inclined to say that the best way to meet up is at events throughout the country.
I am all for a forum shoot but I am just not sure it is that easy to pull off.

"only a certain few who are welcome"....the whole forum is welcome, that is why it is called a forum shoot.

If you ever want to put a forum shoot on here, I'm happy to organise targets etc. Otherwise happy to go anywhere, max 4-5 hour drive. So most of England & Wales, nothing against Scottish ranges but it's too far for me to sit in a car that long. Mind you flying would be an option depending on price!

Thank you Heather.

That got me thinking.
Would an informal forum shoot in 3 different locations be an idea?

One Rob's way, One at Diggle (or further north) and one at Bisley?
Identical competitions being held and results written down so we on the forum can decide the winner?
