I am thinking of getting a box or two of the Australian Dyer HBC 155 grain .308 bullets in to try, has anyone any experience of them at longer distances?

I should think the full-bore list might be the place to ask, or do you think they might be biased?

Good point, I will pose the question to the listoids. If nothing else it should provoke some traffic

Morning David
I tried them at the same time as 2155's and 2156's, both of which for me, worked better, I've ended up going with the 2156's.
I bought a hundred and was slowly getting them to work better by the time i ran out, perhaps had I got some more and experimented a bit more I'd have had better results. But the SMK's are similar price and in my rifles easier to tune.
though in the article by Brian Litz , target shooter (oct/nov 2009, I think) they were rated as better than the SMK's and eqaul to the bergers.

Phil, I did look for the article however it looks like the TS archives no longer go back that far.

Dave,
From what I can make out Steve Thornton has done very well with these bullets.
Foxy has some in now so I will be placing an order this evening and doing some tests later.
My rifle has a palma barrel and these bullets (as far as I can make out) should do well in a 13" twist, but who knows.
I suspect they will need treating like a VLD (in that they will need to be seated accurately), from memory Steve was saying he was seating them 10 thou off and not jammed or pole vaulting in the vain hope of finding the leades tongueout
It is about time we had a real alternative to being held to ransom by the yanks tesnews
