Nope, not at all...
Black bloke with a stocking over his head touting some form of long gun, going by the one photo I saw. ITV News had an article based on their deputy news ed's eyewitness account of seeing the gunman run through a pub at lunchtime, closely pursued by plod, but ITV's news website is so painfully awful to use I can't be bothered digging through it to post it on here.

Suspect has been detained by Guy's hospital. He can be seen in a blue jumper.
Definitely a AK47

Something that in this case was about an hour ahead of mainstream media...

Is that good?
I don't bother with "mainstream media" either, if by that you mean television, radio, newspapers and such like.
All froth, noise and lies or at best inaccurate as the content comes from journalists who couldn't lie straight in bed at night, from my recollections of same its not worth wasting my life on.
Still if it pleases you, good luck.

Or it comes from people trained to spot and record unusual details of everyday life in sufficient detaill as to retell it afterwards with a high degree of accuracy.
I'm sure ITV News' man on the ground just made the whole thing up for poos and tickles, as did everyone else who saw the chase go past them and posted about such.
