I have a question to ask about a one for one variation that I am hoping someone can clear up for me.
I am thinking of selling my ruger 10/22 and have open slots for a bolt 22 and a bolt 233. When I fill out the variation form where do I put the open slots authorised details is it in with the part 19 on the form or part 17 together with the other guns I own.

With Durham you just have to notify them when you sell your gun and then submit a request in writing saying you require a 1 for 1 variation (don't have to use the FAC application forms), last one I did was as follows,
Dear sirs,
I wish to apply for the following 1 for 1 variations to my FAC no.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
As notified earlier today by email the following firearms were sold to xxxxxxxxxxxx FAC no. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx on June 21st.
Ardessa Buckhunter .45 Muzzle Loading Pistol S/No. xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Hatsan Escort MPA Shotgun - Multi Shot S/No. xxxxxxxxxxx
To be replaced with,
1 x 300 calibre Rifle - Bolt Action for target shooting with the xxxxxxxx, xxxxxx and xxxxxx clubs
(And specifiy ammunition allowance required)
1 x .223 Sound Moderator
Durham also prefer you to enclose your FAC with the written application. Your licensing authority may of course be different and insist on using the FAC application forms, give your licensing department a call and ask what they will accept/require.
