Upper limit on Caliber size?

Does anyone know if there is an upper limit on Sec 1 caliber sizes, for instance, I believe our American cousins, regard .50BMG as a "Destructive material" caliber and treat it in a different way?

No upper limit you just have to provide 'Good Reason', part of that would be somewhere to shoot it safely.

I think its 2" as long as the barrel is 24"+ (shotguns only??)

It is rumoured that the 6" guns on HMS Belfast (which are fully functional) are held on FAC.

I thought it had to be an immobile object? I reckon with a bit of effort you could shift the Belfast.

The upper limit on section 1 is 20mm , very limited on ranges though --- Warcop is one and Sennybridge another .
