.303 Boolit seating dies

#1 Post by Ovenpaa »

I have noticed my Forster Ultra micrometer bullet seating die leaves quite a mark on the ogive of the boolit when I seat it as does my Hornady, obviously bcause they are designed for sleeker condom bullets. What do people do about this? I can always strip the die down and blend the bullet seating section that physically contacts the boolit or is this not something to worry about?

I would probably do this to the Hornady die.

Just stuff a ball of kitchen foil into the seating spud held in place with a dab of boolit lube and away you go instant nose profile. :D
