Anyone know anywhere that has done this? Any tips?

I would think you'd need to bury them as I don't think they'd even stop a .22!

Being a scientist, I don't believe in telepathy but sometimes posts like this really make me wonder why (ditto the burial comment below.) I've been thinking about this for a while. I reckon that a few 40 foot ISOs part-buiried into the side of a hill would make a great 25 yard smallbore range.

I've thought about it too. It's a natty idea until you realise how much they cost!

Mobile 'container' ranges are available commercially and, there was a rimfire one at one of the Newark Shooting Shows.

If your going to bury something then why not use sewer pipes like mike @ Carlton moor?

I costed it once and the large square section, concrete drains (2mX2m) were alot cheaper. Also easier to maintain.

I wonder if they take Amex.......... Looks exactly what I was dreaming up albeit a gold plated version. The real win on these I think would be that you wouldn't need planning permission since they're non permanent.
