Joint FAC queries

Ok last year when I applied for my FAC the wife didn't want to apply for hers as target shooting didn't appeal to her and she just renewed her SGC but in March this year I persuaded her to go on a UKPSA basic shotgun course for practical shotgun/mini rifle discipline with me which she enjoyed and she wanted to take it up as she preferred it to clay shooting, so we joined a club, she now has her own S/A shotgun and .22 mini rifle (held at the club) and her 3 month probation period is up and now she can apply for a license.
Someone we shoot with said she should just apply for like an open license to be able to shoot whatever I have on my license and just have authority to purchase and hold ammo on hers so that we can share the same storage and she can shoot my other stuff, is this correct, if so how do we word the application?
Would she need to be a member at my other club to shoot some of my larger calibre guns I currently have authority for but don't own yet as her club is only licensed for pistol calibre rifles/LBR/LBP and sec1 shotgun? although being a member there apparently gives us access to another local club that shoots on MOD ranges? i'm thinking of dropping my other club anyway as only go there twice a month for an hour or two and it costs me £300 a year (just for me) whereas our PSG club is £180 joint and an extra £60 if we want to join the club which shoots on MOD ranges.
Re the above how do I change the club I shoot at that is recorded on my license, is it a case of just sending the firearms dept a letter and proof of new club membership or would I have to put in variation paperwork for that anyway?
I assume I would also need to put in a variation to get extra slots on my ticket for her guns which isn't a problem as I was going to put in for a variation anyway to up my .22 and S1 shotgun and add 9mm lever release and .223 rifle but it would mean upping my .22 from 2 to 4 and 1 to 4 for S1 shotgun (as I know we will both want 2 within the next year or two and don't want to have to wait 4 months every time I put in a variation)
Lastly (for now) when I put my variation in do I have to send my original FAC off with it or can I just send a photocopy and keep my license so I can still purchase ammo as its currently a 3-4 month wait for variations and I have competitions for .22 and 12g slug virtually every month till January and cant hold enough ammo (or afford in one hit) to see me through a 3-4 month wait. The license application form says to include your original but I didn't know if that was a legal (you must) or just what Avon & Somerset were adding?
Thanks
