Any recommendations for a decent 62gr round in 5.56mm/.223 which is also boxer primed and reloadable?

Apparently PPU produce it but I've never seen any (at least online) Kingdomside.

While I'm here, does anyone buy their ammo directly from the European continent?

Thanks but can you elaborate on how do you qualify it as 'decent'? A great many US shooters regard it as having very thin brass so I'm a little wary.

I thought the vast majority of 5,56x45 brass regardless of make other than some of the Eastern Bloc stuff was Boxer primed these days.

I would just buy Lapua brass, new, and reload. 2 or 3 hundred cases would keep you going for years.

The selling dealer will have to apply for an export licence about a month in advance.
I doubt any dealer in Europe would actually send it to you unless you are an RFD.

Despite being in the UK and as such part of the European village the dealer will ask you for a copy of your import licence/open import licence which is a nonsense as strictly speaking it does not required for Europe however he will need a copy in order to apply for the export licence, if it is live ammunition sales he would need a copy of an RFD certificate as well and the RFD holder must be the name on the open import licence. The actual licence is free of charge however getting it is something else as the application needs to be very precisely worded. I can help you with this if you get the urge to go down this route.

I'm just looking for decent (not "competition" ~ I don't do 'scoring') standard 62gr that I can shoot now then reload eventually [in case of shortage etc]. 62gr is what the BDC on my scope is calibrated for so I just want to start there as a baseline... unless you suggest it's not worth bothering about.

Reloadable brass is the priority though.

Weird. I just click the 'buy' button, then wait for brass and bullets to arrive a couple of days later. No license, certificate, or paperwork of any kind. Same when buying in person. Also for primers in person, probably would be for powder too.

I thought we were talking about live ammunition from Europe to the UK, no doubt it can be done without paperwork however I have no desire to get locked up for 5 years.

The odd thing is I can walk into a gun shop in DK and buy 1000 7,62x51 rounds without even being asked to produce my FAC.

Mag was talking about brass, buy maybe he switched back to meaning live when referring to 'bringing it back'. Do you think a license would actually be required if you did buy live in a shop and bring back to the uk? I didn't seem to need one last time I bought ammo in the UK and took it to the countinent.
