Is this for your .50 cal?

Seriously, though, they are no good as a bore scope. There are a few cheap ones available with thin enough probes, but they use bundles of optical fibres which means the resolution isn't high enough to see the sort of detail you need from a borescope. You also need to be able to see at right angles to the bore, which means having a mirror attachment.

There really is only one choice IMO and that's the Hawkeye.

I have a similar one of these for work, and they are of limited use and very frustrating to use at times.
Clarity is very poor.

Are they any good for the casual bod who wants to have a look at the bore, but without needing the full clarity of a proper borescope?

I ended up making my own for a "one off job"

and a bit of info of how I made it here:

I can't begin to compare with a "proper" borescope but it did the job I wanted foraround £40.
