Just going by that poll so far, is it not fair to say that the handgun ban, perhaps even the earlier one were way too hasty and did not represent true public opinion? Maybe for a few weeks after the event, I have only recently gotten into shooting, though I never agreed with bans, I believe some issues should be as outside of party politics, shooting isn't an activity peculiar to one type of voter we are a minority in all parties, yet a large group as a collective, much like the Europe issue, a referendum right now would have us out of it, but a party who would take us out of it want so much other stuff I can't support that they won't get my vote, perhaps private member's bills for things which are issues outside of idealogies is a way forward?
