Leupold scope reticle subtensions

After extensive searching and banging of my virtual head against the virtual brick wall of the internet, I thought I would ask here instead and take advantage of the years of experience and knowledge contained within the forum.

I own a Leupold VX-3 8.5-25x50 scope with the standard duplex reticle in the second focal plane. Whilst not really essential to my shooting, I'd really like to know what the dimensions of the fine crosshair are at various magnifications so that, if I really need to, I can use them to guesstimate distances, widths, adjustments etc.

Whilst not as easy to use for this as, say, a Mil-Dot scope with 0.1 milrad adjustment, , I still think I should be able to do something with it to help my shooting, so any help is gratefully received.

Cheers,

James
