Can anyone explain if the M1 had a telesight fitted during it's war usage. I am seriously thinking of getting one from ITL .30 cal.

M1 Carbines were a replacement arm; to provide a more effective weapon for troops who'd otherwise have only had a M1911A1 pistol
M1 Carbines were never issued with scopes, or even "telesights" (whatever they are)

In the right hands they are as accurate, or better, than a No.4
I'm guessing that you are not aware of the q.c. tests that each carbine had to pass prior to leaving the factory, one of which included group size fired on a zero range?

I'm sure I have seen original Korean war era photo's with early infra red nightvision on an m1/2 carbine.

You did, but they ONLY fitted them to M2
(happy switch) Carbines - used VERY late WW2 & saw some use in Korea: and they were purely a night sight, of sorts
Spend some time flicking through WAR BABY Vol 1 & 2 - LOTS of very rare prototype and experimental Carbines to feast your eyes on; but the T3 above was the ONLY genuine issue scoped "M1" Carbine
One way to do it is to fit a Redfield Jr base. Correct for the period AND in keeping with some of the experimental versions.
I'm surprised someone with one of the ITL jobs has not gone the full moderated route yet! It'd make more sense than keeping them as stock
...I does haves a cunning plan

I have one of the ITL M1's and have shot it out to 200yds no problem in standard config with factory ammo, don't think I would go any further though, I have also downloaded it for indoor plinking aswell with good results.
