Well after months of threatening to do it I finally put a variation in along with the 1 for 1 for my Remington I've just sold.
A Sect 1 Shotgun and a 9mm LR. The later will confuse them!
So, lets see how Police Scotland do. The clock is running.

From what I understand, the old licencing departments are still running - I guess it depends how much autonomy they still have as to how quick and painless it'll be.

They couldn't give me a timescale in Dundee. Last time was two weeks for a 1 for 1.

Hopefully it will be better than Kent. Around 4 months at the minute for 1-4-1....!!!

Evening peeps,
Just got my ticket back having had a 223/556 added as slot, just took 9 days.
Have to say that Suffolk deserve a thumbs up :shakeshout:
If they can do it ( and thats with having to amalgamate with Norfolk) they why is there such a disparity in performance between Constabularies ?
Now just have to see what takes the fancy straight pull wise

The 9mm LR shouldn't confuse them - you should have just asked for a 9mm 'RIFLE' slot...

Steyr Aug gets my vote; compact, accurate and different.

Phone call on Monday, visit today, quick chat in the kitchen and a verbal "shouldn't see a problem". Gave him a copy of my 2012 Gallery Rifle Handbook and he was off.

Phonecall yesterday to advise that my new certificate is ready for collection. Also found out that Firearms and Licensing in Dundee are now responsible for the whole of the east of Scotland. As they are an efficient and forward thinking bunch of people that can only be a good thing.
17 days for the addition of a Sect 1 Shotgun, slug and a 9mm LR.
I'll check over the small print after I pick it up.
