Quick one (hopefully!)... I need a set of super-accurate scales to get the charge weights for the 223 absolutely bang on.
Can anyone recommend a set, and also where I can buy one?
Many thanks :-)

The amount of powder you put in, I would of thought the hammer you use to open the bolt with and a brass rod to crush the powder into the case is all you need
See ya at the ibis open on Saturday

Denver Instruments MXX 123 scale weighs to one fiftieth of a grain. Company near York - Pocklington I think - imports them. Check on Ebay. About £250

Nah, Stuart's fixed it :) much better behaved now!
What are you shooting? When I asked about the Fclass, ie open or TR, was told it is just F/TR with no open class.

A good beam scale will weigh to a single kernel of Varget powder (there's about 5 kernels to 10th grain) Unless you are planning to cut kernels in half you could spend a million pounds on scales and not get any better.
This is a 502 scale showing single kernel (Varget) variations.

By the looks of the weather, anything that is waterproof and something to lob 230g to buck the wind.
The Dasher will be out, fighting against the big boys again.

Ah. They told me that anything other than 223 or 308 was not permitted, so you might want to check that one mate.

I am using an RCBS 502, and it does not return precisely to the same point. I.e. if I zero it, and then tap it gently, it will not settle back, every time, to precise zero. It is within its .1 gr, but not absolutely dead on.
