Steyr SSG P1 155g VERSUS 168 g bullets on a S class target

Over the last couple of months I have treated my self to some LE Wilson kit in various calibers but in particular for the .308.
I normally shoot 155grain Amax bullets through my Steyr SSG P1 but I found a factory target in the box it came in with details of the round that was apparently a 168grain bullet. There was also reloading data from the previous owner including drop charts.
So I loaded up 155g bullets and 168g bullets and fired them at the target that the guys are proposing to use for the S class thingy.
I was intending to stick the target up at 300yards but because of range limitations in my neck of the woods I only managed 129yards according to my range finder.
I had a bit of a bad start my scope was set up for 300yds it was a early start and very cold and I was still half asleep. I eventually clicked as to what was going on. I set my scope up for 100yards and bingo all in the middle. The end result was at these distances I will stick with the 155g there is no advantage using the 168grain jobbies.
I love this Le Wilson gear its the business. A cracking days shooting 6" of snow piled up at the side of the road but really bright and quiet warm a bit cold if the wind got up. Great stuff had a play with some Lantac stuff as well good kit. Our club bought a gun of them.
