This is what I said would happen, we over here see this crap every four years or so and it always ends the same way. When all is said and done the Tw@ts in Washington don't give a toss about victims, it's all about political gain and that's it.

It seems some people in Newtown didn't believe the Govt either.

Meanwhile, the town of Newtown has seen a surge in applications for gun permits since the massacre at Sandy Hook primary school in which 20 schoolchildren and six teachers were murdered.
There have been 79 requests for gun permits in Newtown since the shooting on 14 December, police say, although the town has only issued about 130 licences annually in recent years.
A police official said people were worried about new regulations.
"A good percentage of people are making it clear they think their rights are going to be taken away,'' Robert Berkins told the Associated Press news agency.

I was talking to someone over here yesterday who has been taking orders from the USofA because the person could not source it locally. Scary stuff.

Guys, you just watch. In about three months or so there will be a glut of AR-15's and parts along with reloading kit and the prices will crash and they will sell for cheap as chips. It's how I picked up two of my AR's. BTW I refuse to call then "assault" rifles, I have three AR-15's and in all the time I have had them they have never been used to assault anyone, I wouldn't even use them for home defence.

Good posts blu.
Maybe the good folks at Newton have stopp dliving in denial. Although the ban has been dropped as a main line request, I read it could come back as an ammendment, blu???
I love this woman:

I hope prices come down sooner rather than later, we need 6-8 more for the training set up plus same again in shotguns. Let's hope ammo comes back soon, hard to run courses with no bang things. How's supplies in your part blu?
Cabela's had some 12g slug at $6.95/10. We've got 300 on back order - maybe get more as slug ordered as it's normally about $1/round.

"But while polls show most Americans back an assault weapon ban, influential pro-gun lobby groups such as the National Rifle Association have pressed lawmakers to oppose such a move."
Oh yes, that EVIL gun lobby aka as 4 million citizen members! And DO the majority of Americans support an 'assault-weapon' ban? The extortionate prices and empty shelves seem to indicate otherwise
