It's worth what you or somebody else is willing to pay.
I would buy it if it is complete.

I picked up 3 for the club at £50 each without sights but we had spares so.....You can get a barrel action & bolt with trigger for ~£50 & there are a few wooden stocks about as many small bore shooters have upgraded them to metal stocks. If its a light trigger then thats a more modern one. Worth getting the head space checked, other than that its a target shooting work horse & many with the right ammo are every bit as good as modern kit.

Wow that was quick! - From 'offered it' to ' bought it' to 'shot it' in one day clapclap
You will not regret it - the 54 is a classic, and sights or not £200 is a good price for one only half decent (I'm slightly biased as it's one of my favorite rifles

)
Any pics?

I have a 1974 Match 54 which I was lucky enough to buy second hand from a retiring club member. It cost £230 5 years ago and came with sights, and original wooden stock. It is a brilliant rifle and using RWS R50 ammo I have shot 20 tons on the last 12 months with an average of 98.5 (prone 25 yds). I hope yours turns out as good as mine. Even if I had the money I doubt that I would buy a new one, I feel very comfortable with this one. Good luck!
