What a Nightmare!!!

#1 Post by Mike357 »

I was so excited when I got a god deal on a Rimfire Magic 10/22 from Essex Guns. I looked like a bag of poo but it was cheap. Got it sent off to be Duracoated, got caught up in the excitement, had a heavy target barrel fitted and a new stock.

Imagine my sinking feeling when it arrived with the action having been painted the wrong colour and the new barrel not painted at all!!!

Now, I am not naming names as hopefully we can all come to a sensible resolution. I'll know this week.

I thought oh well, I'll at least take it to the range tomorrow and run some rounds through the new barrel but for some reason the mounts grip the integral rail in such a way as to cause the scope to cant to the left slightly?

Is this because the mounts/rail are incompatible? The action has an integral Weaver rail (wider raised sections on it as opposed to the narrower Picatinny)

What a bummer!
:( :( :( :(

Not good, hopefully you can get this resolved quickly. I have a feeling weaver rings will fit on a Picatinny (some times!) but not the other way round. I only use Picatinny so cannot confirm this

Success, South Yorkshire SS have graciously agreed to rectify the problem to my complete satisfaction. As I said to Roger, mistakes happen but what sets companies apart is how well they resolve them and this has been resolved perfectly.

Well done SYSS.

BTW it shoots really well, I just canted the rifle the other way :D
